Born in Bulgaria, Lia is raised in Varna but soon moves to the Middle East, where she spends 15 years across 3 countries. In 2023, she graduated from the Art History Bachelor at Leiden University, focusing her studies on themes of performance art, cultural representation and underground culture. Her thesis was titled "Performance art in Bulgaria's transition period: Ivan Moudov's socially engaged performance in the absence of a contemporary cultural institution." Currently, Lia is studying a Master's in Berlin focusing on film production.
